The club and golf course:
The club GKG was founded in March 1994. The members and the whole social life surrounding the club has from the very beginning played an important role at the club. The club has very ambitious goals for the future, and will host the National championship in 2014 , GKG is a club for all age groups and boasts of one of the best members programs in the country, like junior programs, women’s programs and senior programs. |
Golf Courses 
There are two golf courses at GKG, 18 hole course called “Leirdalur” and 9 hole course called “Mýrin”. It was in 2007 when the course was extended to 27 holes and the restructuring of the course was completed. Leirdalur golf course is considered to be one of the most interesting and pleasant golf courses in Iceland. No one will be disappointed playing the course. Mýrin is a challenging 9 hole course that tests every golfer from beginners to the low handicappers.
